My Great Grandfather Dr.Russell P.Palmer born 1818,Came to Marion County
Alabama 1842 and died here 1908 he had two sons born after the war they
were Alexander Sherman Palmer born Jan.3,1868 and General Grant Palmer born
Sept.19,1870.
My G.Uncle Joseph Palmer (Marion county Alabama)was a recruiter and scout
for the First Alabama Calv.U.S.A.Also G.Grandfather N.H.Ozbirn (My
grandmother's father)A pvt. in 1st.Al.Calv.So looks like that makes me a
Union Man too.Joel Palmer
