Hi. In researching the men who served in the 4th TN Cav (USA), I have found a fair number who had been named after Andrew Jackson, or had fathers, brothers, or other family members with that name. There were also a lot of George W., and James K. Polk was a big one in Tennesseeans. (I've learned to assumed that any male with the given name "Poke" or "Polk" from that time was probably a James K.P.)
In researching the offspring of these Unionist soldiers, however, I am surprised that practically none of them named their sons after Abraham Lincoln.
