Hi Sheenagh,
I am trying to find the link between James and Ellen KENT (nee WILLIAMSON) and my gr-grandmother Ellen Jane Catherine KENT born South Africa.I can't seem to find who her parents were so I am assuming that it has to be one of James & Ellen's sons.It wasn't Richard KENT because he was born 1819 and died in 1820 when he was about 6 months old and shortly after they arrived in South Africa.
According to the tragic story about the deaths of both parents, James & Ellen's 4 other children were adopted by four different families.Do you have any information about any of them?
I have been told (by a relative in Sth Africa) that James & Ellen KENT were Ellen JC Kent's grandparents, but no mention of who her parents were, so I am following this trail.Of course, I could have been given the wrong information but I won't know until I have exhausted all avenues.
I would love to hear more of what you have about this family and links to any other names.I look forward to hearing from you.
I tried emailing you but the mail was returned.I used the yahoo.com address.
Regards,
Sharon
