Try this link to the South African National Archives. if it doesn't work, go to : www.national.archives.gov.za/naairs. on the left, click on "Search National Automated Archival Information Retrieval System"; click on TAB - public records of former Transvaal, etc. put your family name in the search bock and hit the search button. you will get a message saying there are around 200 hits, click on result summary at the top, and then peruse the list. you will need to have some names and dates to be able to sift through the onws that aren't yours. Good Luck!!
