Henry Octavian Perceval Wright. D 28 Jan 1924
Hi, Lt. -Col. Henry Octavian Perceval Wright died 28th of January 1924 according to the "Navy List" for April that year. The same date of death was given in "The Times" 29th of March 1924 as his Greenwich Hospital Pension of 50 Pounds was passed on to Major John Wyley. Henry was born in Leamington, Warwick, 10th of October 1849.
Where did Henry die and where is he buried? The England Death records for the March quarter list three Henry's but none have a second name. Henry aged 67 Islington. Henry aged 80 or 60 (Hard to read) Woolwich, and Henry aged 68 Lancaster. None of these seem to fit. Henry should have been aged about 75 and always had H. O. P. Wright, or his full name on lists etc. He was with the Royal Marines and traveled the world spending time in Japan, Scotland, South Africa etc. Does anybody have any suggestions? Claiming a pension, would he have had to have been local, or could he be in the colonies? His wife was Violet Eleanor Grace Wright. He must be somewhere...
Thanks
