FREDERICK HARRIS
I am searching for anything connected to Frederick Harris born to Frederick and Mary Harris (Nee Chapman) circa 1903 in London England. Fred and Mary weren't married at the time and went on to have 2 more children before finally tying the knot in 1911. On their MC, Fred's father is shown as Frederick Harris deceased, of The Cape Mounted Police South Africa. He too is a great mystery, as I have no idea at all if he was born there or was sent over with the troops to fight. I have found a F W Harris death connected to the Cape Rifles in September 1901, at Grahamstown SA, and hope this may be him, a) because there were only 700 CMP to start with and b) the chances of there being 2 F W Harris's are quite slim in the same regiment.Until I have the resources to search further, in he stays!
But back to Frederick Harris junior...he was my grandfather's eldest brother, possibly married a Hilda Houghton and the family lost contact with them years back. All of his brothers and sisters were born in the Islington area, so I presume he was too, anyway fellow genies, I hope someone can help me, and I have a large family tree, with many names if anybody needs help.
Name list; Whippy, Ward, Clover, Harris, Chapman, Anderson, Brewer, Hatch, Maskell, Simpson (These are the big branches but I have many twigs)
