Francis Townsend, Simon's Town
I have a Great-Uncle, Francis Townsend, who left Scotland sometime in the early 1900's, probably after WW1.
He worked as an accountant at the Royal Naval Hospital, Simon's Town, had a daughter Shelagh who married David Smuts. They had 3 sons.
I'm not sure if David Smuts is the correct name as my Mum has early stage Dementia, but she seemed to be having a good day to remember all that.
Can anyone help with this?
regards, Sylvia
