James Robbins b 12/22/1866,England to Johannesburg
Searching for my England roots that eventually immigrated to Fordsburg, Johannesburg, So Africa.
James Robbins b 12/22/1886 or 1887 in England married Alice Gray of England.They had 2 children in England
1)George James Robbins b 12/17/1894 in England
2)Blanche Robbins b in England, died at age 15 in anunknown convent in Englangd, after her mother AliceRobbins died 8/13/1900 in Bournemouth, England.
James Robbins somehow ended up in Johannesburg, So Africa after wife Alice passed away in England.Family tales & folklore rumors has James possibly working in the diamond mines in Africa.
James Robbins'last correspondence was written on Jan 14, 1937 to his son George James Robbins in NY,USA..... it was mailed from the Bellevue Hotel, Main Road, Fordsburg, Johannesburg, So Africa. James' letter states he has been ill with his lungs for 7-10 yrs..also in a letter he mentions in 1936 he was in a military hospital at Roberts Height Pretoria. James died soon after.
Any additional information not mentioned will be greatly appreciated.
