Hi John,I am also researching Soutar's. I came across some that might interest you.
I.G.I. index
Alexander Soutar married Elizabeth Vane on 18th Aug 1855 at Dun,Angus,Scotland
George Soutar married Elizabeth Nicol on 24th May 1860 at Dun,Angus,Scotland
The only other Alexander that shows up to follow on from these dates is
Alexander Soutar married Betsy Robertson on 8th Jan 1874 at Panbride,Angus,Scotland.
