Balzer Saurs - g.g.g.g.g.g.g.grndfthr.
We believe Balzer Saurs came from Pennsylvania to Page Co. The Sours farmhouse is still standing. As a young girl I was taken to a log cabin that was in Page Co. and was the first Sours house. Frederick Sours was supposed to be in the Revolutionary War and we have found his name on the muster rolls. Samuel William Sours was called Chapultepec after he was in that famous battle in the Mexican-American War. He was also in the Civil War. My grandmother, Ruth Marjorie Dofflemyer Sours, is still living. She knows many of the Page Co. Sours family. Also, my grandfather's sister, "Aunt Tootie", is still living and can tell you much about the Page Co. branch. I hope this will help you. You may e-mail me or write to me. My address is 300 Perrymont Ave. Lynchburg,VA 24502.
