Hi, Polly. I share some of that same line with you, but I have a little different information about one of the names. My line of descent from Jean Soucy dit Lavigne: Jean Soucy m. Jeanne Sauvenier Pierre Soucy m. Isabelle Ursule Elisabeth Fouquereau Joseph Soucy m. Marie-Madeleine Mignier Andre Soucy m. Marie Catherine Nadeau Michel Soucy m. Marie Catherine Paradis Alexis Soucy m. Nathalie Gueret dit Dumont Theophile Soucy m. Salomee Marais (or Maurais or Morin) Hermine Soucy m. Edouard Picard And they gave birth to my gg-grandfather, Clovis Picard, in Grand Isle, ME in 1879. Hope some of that is helpful to you, or to someone out there. I only just recently discovered my link to the Soucy line, and it's been very helpful that this family is so well-researched and documented. If anyone has *any* information about Salomee Marais (or Maurais or Morin), it would be greatly appreciated. I believe her parents are Francois Marais (or Maurais or Morin) and Genevieve Denis (or Denis-Kemper), and her birth date is ABT 1825. She was married to T. Soucy on 10 Sep 1850 at St-Andre, Kamouraska, Quebec, and before 1853 moved to Grand Isle or Lille, ME. I can't find any references in the 1860 Maine Census to either Salome Marais Soucy or Theophile Soucy, although they had at least 7-8 children born in Grand Isle or Lille from 1853 to 1870, so I don't know how they hid from the census taker.
