His father was Nicholas Lebel, and Jean-Baptiste was born in 1751. Marie-Catherine's father André Soucy. She was born in 1761. This information was taken from Tanguay, Vol. 5, p. 218 Her mother was Marie-Catherine NADEAU (maiden name), widow of Etienne ... Kamouraska 25 Nov 1776 to Germain MICHAU Geneviève, bap Kamouraska 31 Oct 1760 Alexandre, bap Kamouraska 8 Jan 1763 Maurice, bap Kamouraska 18 Aug and buried 27 Oct 1765 In the same volume is an entry for Nicholas (II), who is the son of Nicholas (the immigrant ancestor of this family). He was baptized in 1765 and was married to Marie-Madeleine MICHAUD on 23 Aug 1707 in Rivière-Ouelle. She is the daughter of Pierre who was the immigrant ancestor of that line. She was baptized in 1692. They had 5 children, including Nicholas. Nicholas's baptism date is missing in this entry. Let me know if you want the names of these children as well. This entry is on p. 215. Marie-Madeleine MICHAUD also married Jean-Baptiste Roy-Desjardins in 1725. Also on this page is an entry for Nicholas LEBEL, immigrant, who married 1.- Marie DROUIN on 28 Nov 1662 in Château-Richer, and 2- Thérèse MIGNOT on 2 April 1665 also in Château-Richer. There is only one child listed for this marriage- and that is Joseph, bap in 1677. It`s quite likely that he is your Nicholas' father, and that several children are not listed in this record. The note in this entry said to see Vol 1, p. 356. This entry lists Nicholas as his son. He was bap 12 May 1675 in Château-Richer. Nicholas, the immigrant ancestor, was the son of Clément (Lebel) and Françoise LAGNEL of Dynille, évêché (sorry- I don`t know what that word translates to) of Rouen. This entry gives information about his first wife, Marie, who was buried in Château-Richer on 2 May 1664. this entry lists 4 children for Nicholas and Thérèse MIGNOT (Jean, Angèlique, Nicholas and Joseph) SOUCY: SOUCY, André, bap 1735 (son of Joseph III) m. Marie-Catherine NADEAU, bap 1732 (dau of Alexis III) on 20 Jun 1758 in Kamouraska. (please note that the fathers, Joseph and Alexis are both 3rd generation in Canada). No places for baptisms are listed with the m. record in Tanguay Vol 7, p. 204. Their children are listed as follows: Marie-Catherine, bap in Kamouraska on 27 April 1761; m. in Kamouraska on 7 Jan 1777 to Jean-Baptiste LEBEL Pierre-Bénoni, bap in Kamouraska on 29 Aug 1762 Benoît, bap in Kamouraska on 29 Oct 1763; buried in Kamouraska on 20 Feb 1764 Jean-Baptiste, bap in Kamouraska on 16 Dec 1764; buried in Kamouraska on 17 Aug 1765 Jean-Baptiste, bap in Kamouraska on 20 Mar and buried in Kamouraska on 2 june 1766 Marie-Victoire, bap in Kamouraska on 22 April 1767 Théopiste, bap in Kamouraska on 1 Jun 1769 Michel, bap in Kamouraska on 20 Dec 1770 Marie-Rose, bap in Kamouraska on 27 Apr 1772 on p. 203 of Vol 7, it shows that Joseph SOUCY (son of Pierre- 2nd generation), was bap in 1704, buried in Ste-Anne-de-la-Pocatière on 21 Jul 1745; he married Madeleine MIGNIER on 7 Jan 1727 in Ste-Anne-de-la-Pocatière. She was the daughter of Michel (2nd generation), and was baptized in 1706. It lists 11 children for them. Let me know if you want them also. This entry shows that André was baptized in Ste-Anne-de-la-Pocatière on 27 dec 1735. Madeleine also married Antoine MICHAUD on 14 Jun 1751 in Ste-Anne-de-la-Pocatière. on p. 203 it also lists Pierre SOUCY (son of Jean, the immigrant)was baptized in 1673 and buried on 9 Jan 1760 in Rivière-Ouelle; he m. Elisabeth-Ursule FOUQUEREAU,(dau of Urbain, the immigrant) on 13 Jan 1699 in Rivière-Ouelle. She was bap in 1679, and buried on 1 Jan 1759 in Rivière-Ouelle. This entry lists 4 children for them, and gives Joseph as being bap on 4 Aug 1704 in Rivière-Ouelle. Let me know if you would also like these children. on p. 202 of this same volume, it lists Jean, the immigrant as Jean SOUCY dit Lavigne (see vol 1, p 551) m. Jeanne SAUVENIER (who later became the wife of Damien Bérubé)in 1670 (no specific date or place is given). Jeanne was baptized in 1647 and is the daughter of Jacques (SAUVENIER) and Antoinette BABILLOT of Paris. It shows that Pierre was baptized in Québec on 16 Apr 1673. It also lists one other child, Marie-Anne bap in 1685- it lists more info about her. Let me know if you want it. If you would like to read the parish records and get more details (like births and s dates, god parents, witnesses on marriages, etc) check with the LDS church Family History library- they have microfilmed about 95% of the parish records.
