Mary Ann and George are buried in Jay, Santa Rosa County, FL. The family is listed on the 1866 Alabama State Census in Crenshaw County, AL. John Sorrell and the first 3 children were born in Georgia. Ancestry is from North Carolina. John Sorrell was in the Civil War and is buried in the Confederate Cemetary in Chattanooga, TN.
