The only possible sibling I have is one for George. His name is Abner Sorg, who changed the spelling of the last name to Sorgee for some unknown reason. He apparently came from Germany before George did, and he may have gone by a different first name as well since I cannot find him on any immigration or ship records. The reason I feel that he must be a sibling to George is that George's son, Richard is listed with George in the 1860 census in PA, then he disappears on George's 1870 census. He appears on the 1870 census in SC with Abner & family...and the changed last name.
Both George and his son Ludwig (Louis, Lewis) fought with the Union Army in PA, but Abner & his sons fought with the Confederate Army in SC. It appears that Richard left George due to differences during the Civil War, and he never appeared on another census in PA again. By 1880, Richard and his wife, Sarah, and 3 children (including my g-grandfather, Walter) are in Rusk County, TX, still using the Sorgee name.
As far as any info from Germany, the only thing I have is the record of George & Catherine coming over in 1846. I don't even know what Catherine's maiden name was.
Your info is interesting though...too bad it is not more easily accessed.
