Abraham was the son of William Soper and Eleanor Dickerson.

Bd. Oakwood Cemetery, Sistersville, Tyler Co, WV
Md. 11 Nov 1821/2 to Julia Ann Hanford.
He had 5 or 6 children:

2. Mary Ellen Soper 1826-1914
md. James Baker Thistle
3. Lauretta Adelaide Soper 1831-?
md. Dr. Addison Searle Diossy
4. Juliette Soper 1834-1882
md. Thomas Jefferson McCoy
5. William Hovell Soper 1833/4-?, an atty
md. Nancy Jane McHenry
6. ?Male Soper who was an atty
Abraham was an atty and moved to Tyler Co, WV and became a judge. He was a delegate to the constitutional convention to create West Virginia.
