Hello John,
Please take a look at the information from the NSC, compiled by Dawn and her late husband, Dr. Earl F. Soper. Bittle/Biddle is William's father. I do not see anything about Sarah Soper VanDyke. A researcher, Paul Van Dyke has been searching for Sarah's parentage for many years.
----------------------------------------------------
        Biddle Soper (c1797- ), a farmer, was born in New Jersey. By 1835, Biddle and family were in Fulton County, Illinois. Biddle married Elizabeth (c1800- ). Their children included: William (1817- ); Samuel (1823- ); Leah (Lowe) (c1825- ); Joseph (c1827- ); Phoebe (c1827- ); Wright R. (1828-1903); Amos(c1833-       );
Mary (c1834-        ); John F. (1835-1907); Catherine (c1838- );Henry (c1840-       ); and Harriet (c1843- ). We lack data on Amos and Henry Soper.

William Soper (1817- ) was born in New Jersey. He married Susan Low (1818-1886), in 1839, in Lewiston, Fulton County, Illinois. Susan was born in_Ohio and died in Hutchinson, Kansas. Their children included: Nancy Elizabeth (M1 Minturn, M2 Barnett) (1840-1911); Richard A. (1842-1918); Robert Biddle (1843-1913) James (1846-1848); Charles Arthur (1848-1909); William Fletcher (1852-1930); Harriet Mary (Dickey) (1855-1895); and Socrates John Soper (1857-1940). The family left Illinois, stopped at Creston, Iowa, proceeded on to Leavenworth County, Kansas, and Sedgwick County, Kansas, and finally lived in Reno County, Kansas.
