Does anyone know of this family of Sopers? Stephen and Cynthia's son, William A. (Wilmer A?) married Mary Frances Louise Herrick on April 21, 1892 in Davison, Genesee, Michigan and had 3 children, two of which survived to adulthood, Gladys I. and Harold Clayton Soper. "Frankie" and William divorced and Frankie then married William's brother, Clarence Soper on March 31, 1909 in Genesee County. This marriage produced one offspring, Leon (Clarence?) Soper. Clarence is still alive on the 1920 Michigan census, but on the 1930 census, Frankie is living in California. She is enumerated two rows below her son, Harold Soper and her last name is now "FENDER".
You can see why I am having trouble with "Aunt" Frankie.
Did Clarence die in Michigan, and if so, when did he die and where is he buried? Who did Frankie marry whose last name was Fender and was it in Michigan or California?
So many questions! Hope someone has the answers.
