Henry S. and Mary Schooler Funk were killed and left 9 children who became orphans. Mary E Funk was raised by a Phillips family and was their niece. Lily Funk was also raised by a Phillip family and was a niece, she married Martin Goldman. Lily took on the name of Phillips as well as Mary E. Funk. Your Mary E. Phillips b. 1860 who married John W. Son could very well be the Mary E. Funk Phillips that I am looking for. Do you have a marriage or a death cert for her. Believe she was married in Barry Co.MO or in Benton Co.ARK. just across the border from Barry Co. MO. The Funk family were living not too far away from the Son/Sons family in 1870.
I also have the marriage certificate where Sarah Sons married Nathan Funk in 1882. He later married a Mackey. Was wondering what happened to Sarah Sons Funk. Can you help me with your Mary E. (Funk) or Phillips.
