There seem to be various Buncombes around Taunton in the 18th Century, probably all related somehow to each other. I wonder if anyone can point me towards any trees for these families.
Specific people I am trying to connect are Richard Buncombe who married Susanna Calvert at St Katherine Coleman, London on 21st March 1754 (possible they had already married at The Fleet in Jan. 1754). They had a daughter Eleanor born about 1764 and possibly a son William, (who became a ship's Captain, but he might have been a nephew). When Eleanor married as a minor in 1784 Richard described himself as 'of Taunton'.
Another Buncombe in London is John a 'Malster' who died 1740 at St Paul's, Shadwell. He left legacies to Sarah, Robert, Mary and Richard the children of his brother Robert Buncombe. There is a chance (perhaps small) that this Richard is the same man who married Susanna Calvert.
Any help would be appreciated.
