Guy SOLLIDY - Served in WWI from MO
I have a copy of a letter from the brother of my great-grandmother in which he mentions Guy Sollidy.I am not sure if he knew the correct spelling of this man's name, but thought it might be of interest to someone doing research. The letter was written by John W. Bergstrom on Jan 30, 1919 while he was serving in the 3rd Army Replacement Depot, American Expeditionary Forces. He said in his letter that he saw "Guy Sollidy back at Stenay France."It is difficult to read, but the letter said he was in the 356 Infantry 89 Division. My great-grandmother was living in Novinger, Missouri at the time, so I am assuming that Guy Sollidy was also from that area and she knew him along with her brother. If this is a family member, I would be happy to provide a copy of the letter.
