LAURA S. FRANCO Ozone Park, N.Y. and Middletown, N.Y. Laura S. Franco of Ozone Park, NY and Middletown, NY, a homemaker, died Friday, April 16, 2004 at home. She was 83 years young. The daughter of Salvatore and Lena Gelfo Sollami, she was born on January 15, 1921 in Derry, PA. A family statement read: "Laughter and an optimistic attitude were her way of life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her." Survivors include her husband of 61 years, James V. Franco at home and her children, Laurette Franco of Portland, OR, Diane Spar of Middletown, Marie Greenhalgh and her husband, Charles of Upper Montclair, NJ and Virginia Hogan and her husband, Gregory of Manlius, NY. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Illuzzi of Cheektowaga, NY and her grandchildren: Kristijan Spar and his fiancée, Kelly Pulejo; Andre Spar, Michael Hogan and Amanda Greenhalgh as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Carl Sollami and her sister, Inez Sollami. Visitation hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 18, 2004 at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck- Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc., 72 West Main St., in Middletown, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 19, 2004 at St. Joseph R.C. Church, Cottage St., Middletown, NY. Burial will be private and at the conveniece of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Ct., Newburgh, NY 12550. Arrangements by Ralston-Lippincott- Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc., Middletown, NY.
