I am having trouble tracking down my grandfather Narciso Solis Vasquez's family orgin and his mother Julia Solis
(great-grandmother.) My father said that his dad was Mexican and that grandfather Vasquez was from Arizona. Records found thus far indicate (N.S.V.'s) fathers' name was Matias Vasquez, from Arizona as well.We have no idea where Julia was from. When I plug in the information on it comes up as no records. It is as though his(N.S.V. & J.S.V.) history is an inigma that started when he showed up in Utah, married my grandmother in 1920. Interestingly enough he carried a different name (James Grandier) when he married my grandmother and she changed her name to Lelia Enriquez;through the county. In their marriage records through the Catholic church they take on (N.S.V. & Trinidad Enriquez; these names rest on their burial monument. My father was the last of 11 children from Narciso&Trinidad. My fathers'name strikes me curious Emilio Hyman Vasquez; he said that it was a mistake on his birth record; hum! Even more interesting is that my daughter was diagnosed with a Ashkenazi Jewish disease(Gaucher's) in 1996; she was dieing on us because no doctor in Utah;had ever seen the symptoms she possessed; bone deterioration. It took out of state physicians to diagnosis her. My husband and I were told that we were of Eastern Europe descent. It is rare that two carriers come together to have a child offspring with this disease statistically 1800 when she was diagnosed; my husband is a Salazar I carry my fathers', grandfather & great grandfathers' last name. I would love to come closer to finding out more about my fathers family because we know nothing about them; if maybe they were the Ashkenazi or maybe it comes from my mothers side; but sadly enough neither of them would go to Primary Childrens Hospital to have their blood drawn when the test was offered. My daugher prevails with a drug every two weeks that keeps her alive. What ever help you can offer around this last name 'Vasquez' appreciated. If for nothing else getting my plight out there for educational purposes. I can be reached @ or
