My grandfather was from the Soliseno. He and his brothers were named Jose, Francisco, and Juan. According to him their parents died and they lived with aunts and uncles. They left at an early age and ended up in Matagorda Texas, ultimately dying in Palacios Texas. Jose and Francisco were older. My grandfather was born around 1895. Juan, my grandfather was a twin (female). Juan died in 1951. Jose died before 1951 and Francisco died sometime in the 1960's. Mother, Elvira, was born in Matagorda in 1914. Common names in our family include: Antonia, Marcelino, Francisco, Juan, Jose, Ricardo.....Grandfather's name was Juan Gutierrez Solis but if he was born in Mexico...it would have been Juan Sois Gutierrez. I do not have a copy of his birth certificate. Deseo saber mas sobre mi familia. Soy la unica en mi familia quien sabe espanol (con tilde).
