Hello. Yes there are other Soley's among you. I am the daughter of Patricia Soley Henderson of Laurel, Miss. The main reason I am here is the symbol engraved on my Great Grandmother's tombstone. I am curious what it stands for. She was Emily Crane, born Nov. 14,1848 in Clarke County Miss. She died May 7, 1911. My Great Grandfather Was Henry Clayton Soley, born September 21,1846 in the Highlands of Scotland. He died Saturday Oct. 2, 1926. Both of them lived and died on Tipton Street in Hattiesburg, Ms. I have book on the history of the family that was published in 1998 that my mother and other's compiled. I would really like to know more about the symbol engraved on her tomstone.
