Well, this won't answer your questions, but it seems to have to do with your people?

Emigrants from Trondheim 1867-1930
#83192-83194, 23.07.1895, Domicile: Amerika (Aafjorden), Destination: Red Jaket, Mich., Thingvalla Line, via "Oslo", Tickets paid in America.
--Marie Solberg, married, worker, age 24
--Thorleif Solberg, boy age 4,5
--Ægot Solberg, girl age 10 months
[Ægot must be a misprint / misreading. Never heard of that name.]
Has Marie been on a visit home? Looks like it. But was it really such a short visit that the baby was born in America?? That's a well-traveled infant.

In the 1875 census there are 3 young Marie Strøm in Trondheim at http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/WebCens.exe?slag=hentglobal®ister=etternavn&pgj=57&teljing=ft1875&filnamn=f71601.wc2&amt=16&funnenr=52
