Hi Jo from Dayton, Yes, there seems to be alot of us "Jo s" in this family. I live in Phoenix, AZ. Frederick Soehner (my husband's grandfather) came to America around 1870 from Germany(Baden) One of his brothers was named Jacob. We have traced the Soehners back to Wolfgang Sohner, who was born abt 1592 near Salzburg, Austria but died in Steppach, Baden, Germany.(Notice change in spelling.) Sohner was the orginal way of spelling it. The "O" had two small dots above it. I don't have Wolfgangs' wife's name but there was at least one child to this union named Hans Sohner. Hans married Elizabeta Drommeter February 13,1652 in Schwaigerm,Wurtemberg,Germany. I imagine we're all related,we just haven't found where yet. You can e-mail me at marijoe@juno.com if you are interested. Jo of AZ
