Hi Lois, I am a Sobers from Montclair NJ. My father, Thomas Sobers was born in Wilkes-Barre PA. His fathers name was Anthony Sobers and his fathers name was Alexander Sobers but we think he changed it from Sobon. It is a Polish name. Please let me know if you think there may be a link.
