Thanks for your reply. I am barely beginning to seek information about the SOBERS. I will get in touch with Hope Conrad..thanks.
My HARTS began (I think, although I find that most of my lines have several mixings in more than one generation, especially in the same areas of the country.) with Mary Middlesworth TILLMAN who married Nathaniel HART in Hardwick, Warren, NJ in 1821. I have been in touch with Wildrick "Wil" Hart who tells me that it is still uncertain whether or not we are from John the Signer. He is on the HART GenForum list and is very knowledgable.
My Mary Middlesworth TILLMAN was not married to Nathaniel very long...apparently she died within a few years of their marriage, since he had a new wife within ten years, as I remember the stats on them.
I'll let you know if I find anything more on the SOBERS.
