Based on your comments, I assume your husband is related to Julius Sober who drowned oct 12th 1913 with 5 other relatives. Julius Sober was about 48 and drowned with his 15 year old son (Joseph) and 3 brother in laws (widmer, John/Anton/Charles) and one nephew John Widmer Jr (14). There are a bunch of articles in the PGH Post on Oct 13,1913. It looks like Julius Sobor was married to an Annie Widmer, and she was left with 9 kids (5 girls, 4 boys) after Julius and their one other son died. I am related to Stephen Sober (11 at the time), son of Julius, who was on the shore when they drowned. Your husband must be related to one of the other remaining 4 boys - the only other name I know was John (9 at the time)who also was on the shore when the drowning occurred.

To clarify, they were taking a boat across the alleg to go ground hog hunting at one of the widmer farms. there were 2 surivors, but they were not related. Hope this helps
