I am Colonel Verdell Sober's niece. He died in the 1970s. He is survived by 4 children who all live in or around Oklahoma City. Their names are David Sober, Glenn Sober, Kathleen and Becky (I don't know their married names). He is also survived by a brother, Frank Sober of Oklahoma City and 2 sisters, Annabelle Scott of Fay, Oklahoma and Louise Snodgrass of Altus Oklahoma. I don't have their addresses right now but I'm sure you can find them on ZabaSearch.
Verdall was born and raised in Fay, Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Oklahoma shortly before he entered the service. His parents were Colonel Lafayette Sober and Lucinda Sober of Fay. Any of his siblings will be able to give you more information about his service career. Unfortunately his wife Pansy, also raised in Oklahoma died some time ago. Let me know if I can be of more help. I have more information at home but I am away on a visit right now.
