St. Charles (Kane County, Illinois) Chronicle, Nov. 24, 1899, Current in Kane County. John Snyder of Aurora, while out hunting near Sugar Grove, shot and captured a bald eagle. The bird is about two thirds grown and the wings measure four feet six inches from tip to tip. (Posted as a courtesy, not related.)
