Jane,

Thank you for writing.

Yes, I know about the 1890 Census report. I once owned the microfilm and that is what got me started trying to find his military service record along with his burial place, neither of which quest I have accomplished yet.

I have found a Mathias Snyder who died in the Greystone Asylum in New Jersey and I know where he is interred, but I cannot tie him to the Monmouth County Snyder.

I shall keep trying.
