George Snyder married Susan Weller Aug 10, 1851 in Middlesex, Yates Co., NY. Children are James 1852, Jessie 1855, William 1858 and George 1861-1864. George died in the Civil War and Susan married second, Martin E. Arnold. They had a daughter Carrie Arnold who married Richard Parsons. Have pension record to prove marriage of George to Susan and names of children. Susan married Martin Arnold May 10, 1863. In 1864 they resided in Cohocton, Steuben Co., NY during the process of applying for George Snyders military pension for the children. The 1865 State Census list them in Italy, Yates Co., NY / 1870 Census Middlesex, Yates Co., NY page 3 list Martin Arnold, Susan and Carrie age 3 Arnold. Susan did not have her son's living with her in 1870 it appears a grandfather was awarded guardianship.
