Anyone out there know about a James Snider/Snyder who supposedly married a Mary Cooley? They were listed on various census records in Lewis County and Carter County, Ky. There seems to be references to what appears to be 2 different families, both living in Lewis County, Ky and Carter County, Ky on different census records, but I can't believe there were 2 James Sniders and 2 Mary Cooleys living in that area at the same time. They are listed in Lewis County, Ky in 1854 and having a son named Joseph G Snyder born June 18, 1854. The "other" James and Mary Cooley Snider (if in fact they are a different family) had a son born in 1854 named Joshua. They also had a daughter named Esther (Easter) which would match up with the James and Mary I'm looking for. How ironic would that be?

Anyway, I can't seem to actually document anything..just
different websites that have a bunch of info but no references as to where the info came from like birth, marriage, or death records. One said James died in Carter County, Ky in 1880 and Mary in 1881. Oh, also Joseph seems to have evaporated after his birth listed as 1854. He isn't on any census records or death records. Joshua on the other hand is and by 1880 he was married to a Martha and they had 2 children..James and Levi.
HELP!!
