William Snyder born 1828, Rockingham, Va., to Johnson Snider, born abt. 1778 and Melissa Elizabeth ????, born abt. 1777. Married Harriett B. Walker, born 11-17-1837, in McWhorter, Va., on 10-2-1857. Children: George W., b: 8-14-1860., d: unk., Alcanan Melbom, b: 2-22-1865, d: abt. 1944; William Walker, b: 12-9-1872, d: 2-18-1963, Mary Smith, b: 9-1866, d: 2-24-1913; Oliver, b: 8-24-1858; Verna. b: 1-21-1969, d: 3-25-1949 and my Grandma, Minnie Lee, b: 7-15-1875, d: 10-4-1954.
William Snyder died at the home of his daugter, Mary Smith Snyder Lorentz, in Wahington, Pa., in 1907, exact date unk.
Unable to find date of death for Harriett but it is known she was living in Harrison County, WVa, in 1920.
Diane, I know we have shared this info by phone but thought I'd put it here for any others who may be
researching our family. The only new info was finding the date of death for Mary and learning the actual spelling of her married name was "Lorentz instead of "Lorenz."
