George Crumpton Snowden A/K/A "Crum" was my Grandfather. He was born in 1880 and died in 1963 in Miami, Florida.

Crum and his wife, Effie May Leonard and their 11 children relocated from Alabama to Miami, Florida in 1926; this is the year that my mother, their 12th child, Doris, was born. There was also a very bad hurricane.

One of his sons, my Uncle Jolly was named Crumpton Leonard Snowden. He hated the name "Crum" so he adopted the moniker "Jolly."
