Anna- I haven't actually been to the cemetery. The photocopies of the tombstone rubbing and page from the graves registry/tombstone information were sent to me by Jolene Snowden of Andalusia, AL. On that page (486, of "Milton Cemetary Section 23, continued" ), is the following:

2243 "Marshall F. Snowden"

2244 "Sacred to the Memory of Mary Francis Snowden
The Mother of Henry Aaron, William Columbus and
Mary Florence Snowden
Jan 25, 1829-Mar 8, 1852
Erected and never to be forgotten
by her lonely and affectionate husband
and children. M. N. SNOWDEN"

2246 "Aaron Snowden
1765- Apr 1845"

2248 "Mary Florence Snowden
was married to W. H. MITCHELL
Dec 24, 1869
Sept. 28, 1851-Feb 2, 1913
Mother of five children:
Maggie, Mollie, William, Lula and
Montgomery MITCHELL"

This is the url for the page where my tree is: I think it's accesable.

Re: "Crum". Like you I think Crum is George Crumpton. I thought I had this written down somewhere by can't put my hands on it right now.

The conference sounds great. I'm really a novice at genealogical research. I had a flurry of interest a few years ago and collected some of the easy stuff. Got distracted by life for a few years and for some the reason the bug has now rebitten. Perhaps impending 49th birthday has something to do with it.
