According to a Mrs. White who did a family tree in 1972 Dorastus Snow was the first husband of Anna M. Duncan, and Charles R. Snow was their only son. Anna Snow's second husband was Philip Cowell of Castalia Oh. Charles married Sarah (Sally Ann) Cummings Jan. 21. 1844. She was born in Bradford County, Penn. Feb. 23, 1822. I assumed your Alanson was maybe the child of Dorastus' first wife maybe killed by the indians. My records say Dorastus was one of the first settlers in Margaretta Twp., Erie Co. Ohio. Records indicate the Snow's and Cummings families knew each other (aside from Charles and Sarah) so maybe Bradford. Co. is what you are looking for. I will be mailing or e-mailing everything I have to Christine Smith (line of Margaret, Sarah's sister) who also has a posting on this forum. I would be happy to do the same for you. This can be confusing. I would be interested if you are sure Duncan is your 4G grandmother.Nice to meet you! Cheryl Horn
