Karla Dee Snow obituary submitted
Karla was born on September 7, 1951 in Ainsworth, NE to Dean and Samona Wynia Snow. She grew up on a ranch south of Ainsworth and attended Ainsworth High School. In the fall of 1969 Karla entered nurses training at Nebraska Methodist School of Nursing in Omaha, NE. Following graduation in July 1972 Karla worked at York General Hospital in York, NE. In 1991 Karla moved to Kearney, NE and continued working as a nurse until 2000. In May of 2000 she had major surgery and later moved to Atkinson, NE. She began working at the Alternative Medical Clinic until it closed. In 2006 due to health reasons Karla retired and returned to Ainsworth. In November 2008 Karla moved to Slayton, MN. Due to failing health on March 12, 2010 Karla became a resident of the Golden Living Center-Slayton and passed away there on Monday, March 22, 2010 at the age of 58. Karla accepted Jesus as her personal Savior since a young girl in 1965. Family meant a lot to Karla and her faith was very important to her. Karla loved to fish and treasured all the fishing trips with her nephew, Colbie. She had a very special love for her nieces and nephews and their families.
Survivors include her mother, Samona Snow of Ainsworth, NE, two brothers and their spouses, Garland and Lorna Snow of Kearney, NE, and Meldon and Camile Snow of Slayton, MN.She is preceded in death by her father, Dean Snow, grandparents, Archie and Lillian Snow and Simon and Tillie Wynia and step-grandmother, Ester Snow.
Funeral services were held from the Totzke Funeral Home in Slayton, MN, Pastor Curt Ploeger and Tim Stark officiating.
