Bonnie,
it was wonderful to read your history of Wm Snow--
his daughter Elizabeth Snow, married Benjamin Caruthers, who also served (i think) with Snow's Scouts. They moved to Texas after the war. I have a photo of Eliz. Snow Caruthers--she looks to have been an imposing woman.
the story you told of their house was one that my grandmother Gladys Roberson Lovell (Wm's gg-granddaughter) told me,too. Add this to your info--Grandmother said that some of the bricks (don't know if this was inside the house or what) were glazed blue, and she thought they were the most beautiful thing in the world. She also said that her grandmother (Sarah C. Fitzgerald) was about 5 or 6 when they came through and shot up the house during the war--and that they they hid out in the field, and were not discovered.
I would love any dates, other information you have on this line--siblings, etc.i do appreciate it!anything i can do this end of the state, let me know!
