Hi Diane,
My ggg grandfather was Thomas Humphries Snow, Jr. brother of Eugene H.C. Snow.Although alot of people won't admit the relation because my ggg grandmother, Margarette was Black. She and Thomas to my knowledge never married but he fathered 10 children with her.She was a cook for him.All the children were named after all his immediate family but from oral family history it was stated that he didn't want us to have the last name of Snow so we were given a name close to it as "White".Thomas, Jr. and his sister Margaret Texanna Snow migrated to Texas.Point Blank, San Jacinto County, TX.Just like in Lowndes, AL, San Jacinto County had an area that the Snow family owned called Snow Hill. I am not sure when or where Thomas, Jr. died because I don't have any record of him after the 1880 census. But I think he may have died in 1899.
If you would like to compare information let me know.
