Ann - I am trying to sort out Martin Scribner's line. What I have found it that there seems to be a cross-over between Curtis Scribner's son Martin and another Martin Van Buren Scribner. I did a little research and am now more confused than when I started. My question to you is where did you find out that Martin Scribner son of Curtis had a middle initial of W?
Martin Van Buren Scribner was a New Yorker and migrated to Minnesota. I find him in the 1900 Fed census up there as a windower and living with a grand daughter.
I would love to know if Martin's middle initial stands for William. That would make my life a lot simpler in getting down to whose who. Then all I have to find out is which one actually married Catherine McBride on 29Mar1866 in Moniteau Co, MO.
Any assist is greatly appreciated.
