Addie Snodgrass Day 1876 - 1913

It has been over 3 yr since I posted on my Addie F. Snodgrass who married John Ceyfus Day; they were my grt grandparents. We think she was probably born in TX; her birthdate was Nov 1876. They married abt 1895 and we think probably in Montgomery Co TX. Her oldest child was my grandmother Vivian Day Bradshaw born in TX, probably around Conroe or Grimes Co, in 1897. The other children were John, R. Vergel, Ed Tom, Addie Pearl and ZoNell. The family moved to west Texas and Addie is buried in Runnels Co (1913—cannot find a death cert. Nor obit) and was living there or possibly Taylor Co at time of her death.

There was an Addie A. (though we find a census for ours Addie F.??) b. that year in VA to W. J. Elizabeth (Unknown) Snodgrass. She had 4 brothers and 2 sisters. The family was in TN at that time.I've not found any more on this line other than locating & copying the census (unless the 1910 census noted below does tie in) and wonder if someone could help direct me as to whether or not they may have migrated to TX or even have info that this Addie did or did not marry John Day in order that I might if nothing else eliminate her as well. Siblings of this Addie were John W., age 17 in the '80 census; H. W., 14; C. W., 12(all prev children male); Martha E., 10; Victoria, 7; & E. W., male, 1. In the 1910 TN census I do find an Elizabeth of appropriate age living with 33 yr old daughter Ada & husband Geo. Lane; Ada could be Addie and if so eliminates the theory already. Does someone know more on these people?

There is also an A.(B) of an appropriate age & location., age 4, b. in TX who is listed in 1880 Montgomery Co TX Census; parents D. S., 53, a minister from MS whose parents were from PA & MS; the mother was E. W. (Emma), 40 from KY whose parents were from VA & KY; her siblings, all born in TX, were O. P (Olivia)., 19; D. R., 6; George, 1; J. A., 21 They disappear from there after abt 1890 and have reason to believe they went to Tom Green Co where we also think there was family.

The family was in Missouri prior to coming to TX, A source says this A. B. was Annie and may have never married which would exclude her but another source says D. S. was also a school principal and we think Addie’s father may have been an instructor or principal with the schools there as well as the fact her husband taught for a while and may have met her this way.

Some years ago I also found a post I’d forgotten about til I stumbled onto it today …there was a William Thomas, I think son of Alexander who married a Zonia Lake; they were in Hunt Co TX. They had a dau Nelly Perl; these names are so coincidental if they do not tie in to my line as my Addie had a daughter named Nell, or actually Zonell, and another daughter named Pearl. I have to wonder abt a connection to this line but so far have not found more.

That pretty well is a synopsis of my Addie and what I have found that could tie in possibly. I am hopeful someone new is out there since I lasted posted in abt 2005 I guess it was, or someone has found something new that might tie in if they see this & it catches their eye. If you have any clues at all, would you please respond to this. My Addie surely has family and it seems someone might have a line she ties into. Thank you so much, Sandra
