In the Library of Virginia I found a file "Old Snoddy Home" dated 29 Oct. 1937. It is a survey of old homes in Va. by the W.P.A. The file states that Jacob Agee was the original owner prior to 1790 the approximate date of construction. In 1835 Jack Snoddy was the owner and in 1866 Robert W. Perrow and heirs to present "that being 1937."
This file also tells of a graveyard with a stone slab ingraved "Jacob Agee Died 1795"
In Jacob Agee's Revolutionary war record there is a letter by Mary H. Snoddy dated "5 Dec. 1866" She states that she is the only surving child of Jacob Agee. This Jacob Agee died after 1832.
