Hi there... I have traced my family tree as far as George B. Snider as well. He would be my Great, Great, Great, Great Grandfather if you can believe it! I have traced him to Portland Ontario born 1802. Similarily I have found a man by the name of Jacob Snider, also from Portland born in 1802. I am trying to figure out whether they may have been brothers, or cousins. If so...then Jacob(1802) is the son of John Snider. Thats as far as I have gotten with that. Possibly...John Jost Snider whom I have a record for who was born in 1764 in England (no furthur info) and Died in 1842. He was married to Elizabeth Amey in England in 1780. Now.. if John Jost was born in 1764 he would have been 38 when Jacob Snider was born. This makes me think that he is not the John I am looking for - but it would technically still be possible I suppose. Does anyone have any thoughts?!?
