In the early 50's my mother dated a man by the name of R.P. Snelling, manager of "Downtown Chevrolet" in Houston,Texas. My mother found out Mr. Snelling was married and broke the relationship. He used to tell her he had two adopted children in Germany and supported them. I believe Mr.R.P. Snelling was the son of Reuben P Snelling. He died in 1966 at the age of 62. His father used to have a Mill in Texas in the late 1890's, I belive a hurricane destroyed the mill.
