There was also an OLDER Page Snelling from KY who was on the 1860 census in Knox Co., MO (age 42). That older Page Snelling was just two or three households away from the Elizabeth Snelling who married Joshua M. Davidson in Knox Co., MO in 1848. I see that Minerva Snelling and William Snelling were living in the home of Mrs. Elizabeth (Snelling) Davidson in 1860, and the first two children of Joshua M. Davidson and Elizabeth Snelling (as of the 1850 Knox census) were apparently named Sarah J. Davidson and Benjamin D. Davidson.

The 1850 Knox Co., MO census showed a William Davidson (born about 1832) and an older Sarah Phillips (born about 1806) were living next-door to Mrs. Elizabeth (Snelling) Davidson. I do know if Sarah Phillips was born as a Miss Davidson (or perhaps she was married at one time to a Mr. Davidson before perhaps marrying a Mr. Phillips....but who knows?), and I am not sure at this time just how she and the William Davidson in her home were related/connected to Joshua M. Davidson. I note, however, that the 1850 Knox Co., MO census showed that both Sarah Phillips and William Davidson were from Alabama (and I saw one record that claimed that Joshua M. Davidson was from TN).

Do you know if there are any living male Davidson descendants out of Joshua M. Davidson and Elizabeth Snelling? I would love for such a male Davidson descendant to take the DNA test via www.davidsongenes.org. Thanks!
