How nice to hear from you again.Like you, I am still working on my Snelling family line, after 25+yrs.New bits & pieces of data show up from time to time. But still nothing has been able to 'document' the parents of my Hugh Snelling bn (1802 KY)
What I refer to 'connect the dots' research has served me well over the years of genealogy and has lead me to material that was able to 'document' the data. With that thought, I still believe that John Berryman Snelling & Deliah Robbins wd Stillwell were the parents of my Hugh Snelling. But I have not been able to 'document' it. Infact I still have NEVER found any Snelling that descends from John Berryman Snelling; since he lived long enough to marry twice......I am sure there are more children from both of his marriages.
A question:Often I drag out my old research binders and rummage thru the material.Computers are great but there is still nothing like having pages spread out in front of me to compare and note small details I might have missed before.I always seem to find something.
I realized that at different times Hugh's first 2 sons use the middle initial S....ei Berryman S. Snelling ....Redman S. Snelling. Then recently I found an old extracted entry from Miller Co, Missouri court records where Hugh himself is listed as Hugh S. Snelling. Any idea what family group the S might point to?????
I would love a copy of your book, thanks for thinking of me. Just let me know where to send the money and how much the charge is.
Take care,
Marsha
