After replying to your message, I started looking at the Snellings more closely, and realized the father of William J was named Benjamin. He was likely born in the 1780's in England and was James W's brother. He could be the Benjamin on your list. They are the farthest back Snellings that I have discovered. Benjamin also had a son named Zachariah (b 1828). The information I have shows that the immigrant brothers both died on Aug 14, 1859 in Wellington,Ontario, but that needs looking into. Both brothers and their many children appear on census records. Stafford families the Snellings married into include Truslow, Berry, Lightner, Wine, Young, Payne, and Boutyard. Hope this helps. Betsey
