Hi Geraldine,

I'm trying to trace back on these family lines and I welcome your response. So, here is more in what I know and guess. :)

Joesph Harris and Sally Dearborn had the following children.

Freeman, Joesph, Sophronia, Nathan, Polly and Sarah.

They were in Wheelock Twp, Vermont for awhile when Nathan and Polly were born. Their births were recorded in the town records. No mother listed. The father and Nathan were recorded in Barnston, Quebec as I have the orignal record of binding out Nathan until he was 21 years old. After Nathan married Orpha Aldrich, they moved to Whitby, Ontario then to Jefferson Co., Wisconsin.

One of Nathan's children, Harrison Harris married his second cousin Elizabeth Dearborn. A decendant from this family has information that Joseph Harris's parents were Charles Harris and Mary Hopkins. Some of the Dearborn family moved to Whitby Twp. Ontario.

The Dearborn Society has a record that Sarah Dearborn married Joesph Harras. Sarah's parents were Sherburne Dearborn and Mary Kenniston. Sherburne was recorded in Wheelock Twp, VT and died in Barnston, Quebec.

The Snelling line has recorded that Polly married Charles after Sophronia died and they were sisters. This matches my records from the Nathan Harris family stories. The Snelling line recorded the father as Joseph and mother's name as Sally Derbon.

There is a Joseph Harris in Wheelock Twp. who was the first blacksmith. He may have been Joseph's son and not the father.

I do not have death dates and places for Joseph and Sarah Harris.

Craig Harris - Guam
